We all care about the planet and want to do our part to protect the environment, but we don’t always know how. At Cintas, we’re committed to giving you innovative green solutions to help you make a difference every day. For spring 2010, we are launching 27 exciting new eco-garments to add to our already expansive collection of environmentally friendly apparel, making it even easier to do your part. And many of our products are home launderable which saves both energy and reduces the use of dry cleaning chemicals. Employees also have the additional cost savings of lower dry cleaning bills. It’s all about outfitting your staff in a polished look and improving your corporate image – all while being green.

Offering you our best products in eco-friendly fabrics is one of the many ways we can all achieve our goals. We partnered with Bagir Intl., makers of EcoGIR® recycled fibers, to bring you the leading edge in eco-friendly tailored suit and dress fabrications for our top-selling apparel lines – Regeneration™ and Momentum™. EcoGIR fibers are made using an innovative, certified process that converts recycled plastic bottles into fabric. Our Regeneration collection is a 100% recycled polyester that uses 25 recycled plastic bottles. And our Momentum collection is a 54% recycled polyester/42% wool/4% Lycra blend that uses 12 recycled plastic bottles. By using recycled fibers versus creating new fibers, we can significantly reduce the environmental impact of the garments by diverting landfill waste, saving energy and reducing CO2 emissions.

We have transitioned to environmentally conscious packaging for many of our suiting products to help reduce the overall carbon footprint. The hangtags are constructed with 100% recycled, non-virgin fiber and processed, chlorine-free, post-consumer waste paper. All of the hangers are 100% recycled – small details that can add up to a big difference.

Cintas is pleased to announce the new eco-solutions to our Housekeeping and Outerwear lines. Complementing our top-selling Velocity™ collection, the new Micro-check Tunic and Shirt are now made with recycled fibers and are a great look for your housekeeping staff. Our Recycled Jacket is a smart casual outerwear choice to complete any uniform and will make a great first impression on your customers.
