One very important factor of owning a Cintas garment is garment care. Garment care will help extend the life of your garment, keep it looking clean, and appear like new every time you put it on. Please take a moment to read through the garment care instructions for these collections and garments.
Non-Iron Dress Shirts and Blouses
Machine wash in warm water with like colors.
If a detergent is designed to be used as a cold wash (energy saving), then this detergent must NOT be used in a warm wash cycle.
Tumble dry low, delicate cycle, remove promptly and put on a hanger.
Most important DO NOT STARCH
Iron on medium if needed
Do not use an industrial laundry
High washing temperatures, and high-temperature drying, is very dangerous for these chemically processed non-iron shirts and blouses. It will reduce their overall performance and life expectancy of the garment.
MOMENTUM
Machine wash cold, gentle cycle, no spin cycle, with like garments
DO NOT BLEACH
DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENERS
Tumble dry – no heat, remove promptly
Cool iron if needed
Professional dry cleaning – use no trichloroethylene, use reduced moisture, short cycle, no steam finishing and low heat
Suiting made of a wool blend should be dry cleaned only when soiled or stained; figure after every 5th or 6th wearing. Otherwise, a crisp pressing will eliminate wrinkles. Dry cleaning chemicals too frequently will cause the fibers in the garment to break down or weaken.

Sweaters
Laundering Your Sweater
Because sweaters are commonly used as a layering piece often times they do not touch the body. In these cases it may not always be necessary to wash after each wear.
After you have determined if your sweater requires a cleaning, always check the care label first. Turn the sweater inside out and machine wash cold on the gentle cycle. For best results, wash and tumble dry in a pillow case in alike color. This prevents unnecessary abrasion and fiber pick up from other items. Remove promptly from the dryer or lay flat to dry.
Always wash dark colors separately, add a fabric softener to the final rinse every third washing. Do not dry clean your sweater. Utilize a non-chlorine bleach if needed.
Caring For Your Sweater Between Laundering
After removing the sweater from wear, give it a slight shake to remove any excess lint or dust. Air out your sweater by laying it flat after wear to remove any body moisture. After your sweater has dried thoroughly, fold to store.
Never hang your sweater on a hanger. The most common overstretching happens in storage rather than on the body. Because of this, we recommend you fold knits flat for storage rather than hanging them. Never stuff them into crowded drawers. By following these few simple tips, your sweater will wear much better and longer!
